COT
Playlist was chosen to illustrate the futility of living the rockstar, partying lifestyle. All of the singers died from suicide, alcohol poisoning, or drug overdose. If seemingly successful people struggle with addictions and depression, what does that say about the rest of us?
“All things are full of weariness; a man cannot utter it; the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 1:8-9)
F3 exists so that we do not have to go through life alone. Yes, all things are full of weariness, but we can help each other make it.
Moleskin
I was without my glasses or contacts this morning which made it difficult to tell who was who in the gloom.
I modified this beat down so that the PAX did not have to run Mount Hacksaw 6 times. So far, no “thank yous” from the PAX.
My COT was pretty depressing, but, as I told the PAX, I see little difference in the way that these lead singers died and the excessive partying that happens on Cinco de Mayo and many other holidays. Having witnessed the extreme life changing/ending results from having one (or six) too many, I thought it pertinent to provide these real-life examples.
