Distributed 2 bricks per PAX (1 per hand) and did the following arm exercises:

10 Baby arm circles IC – forward & backward

10 Shoulder press IC

10 Overhead claps IC

10 Shoulder taps per arm

The Thang

1 lap around track (1 lap = 200 ft of sidestepping SSH half right/left, Bear Crawl 30ft, 200 ft Sprint). 10 burpees, 10 Squats (using bricks for additional resistance), 10 Merkins, and then 10 Big Boy SitUps. Lap around track. Then 9, 9, 9, 9 of same. Count down to 1. Hold Al Gore for Pax to start next set together.

My family and I  had just celebrated my wife’s grandfather’s 90th birthday.  2 observations from his life:

  1. In life, we must give 100% to what we are involved in.
  2. Along the way, we cannot forget to connect with others and invest in their lives too.

      1.  Long jumps (aka “bunny hops” during Easter season) and 50 stretch & reach’s (PAX is on hands and knees and stretches opposite arms and legs at the same time).
      2.  Duckling walks and 100 flutter kicks.  

      Rob the Nest
      2 teams lined up on opposite ends of parking lot with buckets of Easter eggs in the center of the lot.  1 PAX ran into the center to retrieve an egg containing a surprise workout (lunges, squats, burpees, 8-count body builders, LBC’s, big boy sit-ups, pickle pounders, pickle pointers, etc.) while the rest of the team held a plank.  After the exercise was completed, another PAX ran into the center to retrieve another egg until all eggs were gone from the bucket.

      Shared the importance of evaluating priorities and determining what is important when setting goals.  Commitments and expenditures of resources such as time, money, and energy should reflect our priorities and goals.  Sometimes, that may mean backing away from commitments that do not align with our priorities and pursuing opportunities that will result in personal development and accomplishment of our goals.
